About Team FBH

First Bank Hampton has been a sponsor of Relay for Life for many years. Four years ago in 2015, some of the employees got together and formed our Team FBH. This team kicked off their first year with the theme, "Banking on a Cure". They planned several fundraisers and to their amazement and delight, were able to raise over $2,700!

The second year in 2016, the team planned and hosted a few more events raising close to $5,000 with 100% of the money going to Relay for Life! Raising more than they ever dreamed encouraged them to think bigger in 2017!

The third year in 2017, the team planned and hosted nine events raising $9,607.87! Team FBH worked very hard at coming up with a wide variety of events. The old saying, "It takes a village" was definitely true as it took all FBH employees volunteering to help in some way with the planning and execution of these nine events. Hat's off to Team FBH for another successful year!

The fourth year in 2018, the team planned and hosted six events raising $5,780.90. It was another successful year and the team is already planning new fundraisers for the next year. 2019 should be another great year too!

2019 Events:

Spa Day: Thank you to everyone who came and enjoyed our spa day event on Sunday, January 20. It was a cold, wet day outside, so this event was a great way for our guests to pamper themselves and fight off the winter blues!

Walking Tacos! Great weather, great food and great support made this a very success event! Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed a walking taco that day!

Employee Bake Sale: Our bake sale was a huge success, thanks to you! We had three tables full of goodies and by mid afternoon, everything was sold! We raised $1,065.  

Stenciled Wood Sign: What a great night, and so much creativity! Thank you for making this a fun night and a successful event! 

Silent Auction Event: It was amazing to see so many businesses and individuals step up and donate beautiful baskets and items for the silent auction. We were able to display them in the bank lobby the week prior to the evening in Band Shell Park. There were so many generous people there that night. There was friendly bidding wars with people watching their items. When the silent auction was closed and the proceeds collected, $9,084.82 was raised for the Franklin County Relay for Life!
